Greyhound Auto Retail supplies air compressors for workshop, automotive and general trade use, from portable inflators through to workshop units capable of running air tools.
Size the compressor on air consumption rather than tank size. Every air tool has a CFM requirement, and an impact wrench or a spray gun will quickly outrun a small compressor no matter how big its tank is. Tank capacity only buys you time between motor cycles, so check the CFM figure of the most demanding tool you plan to run and choose accordingly.
Maintenance is simple and usually skipped. Drain condensate from the tank regularly, since water collects and rusts it from the inside, keep the intake filter clean, check the oil level on lubricated compressors, and fit a water trap in the line ahead of any spray or air tool work.
