How to read the result
  • Driver and passenger lengths are different on almost every car. Order both sides, most people replace them as a pair.
  • Hook arm (the blade hangs on a J-shaped hook, most Toyotas, older VWs and every bakkie): choose Bosch AeroEco (flat blade, best value), Bosch AeroTwin Retrofit (premium flat blade with adaptor) or Bosch Eco (conventional frame blade).
  • Push button, pinch tab, side pin or bayonet arm (VW group from about 2012, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Ford, Renault, Peugeot, Opel, Haval, Chery): choose Bosch AeroTwin Plus. The box includes the adaptors.
  • Rear blades: we stock the Bosch H281 (280 mm), H307 (300 mm), A331H (330 mm) and H352 (350 mm). Other rear lengths on request.
Car not on the list?

Measure your current blade from tip to tip. 1 inch is 25 mm, so a 24 inch blade is 600 mm. Sizes come in 25 to 50 mm steps, so pick the closest and never go longer than the original, a longer blade hits the windscreen frame or the other blade. Or send us your registration number and we will confirm the sizes for you.

Which Bosch range?

Four ranges, not interchangeable: Eco and AeroEco fit hook arms only, AeroTwin Retrofit is the premium hook-arm blade, AeroTwin Plus is the multi-clip blade for push button, pinch tab and side pin arms. Bosch part numbers

Each Bosch product page lists the Bosch part number and order number for every size, so you can match it to the number printed on your old blade or box: AeroEco AE14 to AE26, Eco S14 to S26, AeroTwin Retrofit AR15U to AR26U and AeroTwin Plus AP15U to AP26U.

Signs your wipers need replacing

Streaks or smearing, a strip of water left in the middle of the sweep, chattering or juddering across the glass, squeaking, or a rubber edge that is cracked, split or pulling away from the frame. In South African heat and sun the rubber hardens within a year, so a yearly change before the rains is normal.
