FRAM FSA1000 fuel filter housing: first-stage diesel filter and water separator
The FRAM FSA1000 fuel filter housing is the complete in-line filter and water separator assembly for bulk diesel: a cast aluminium head with 1 inch BSP inlet and outlet, a see-through bowl with a drain tap, and the GUD G1000 cartridge inside. It sits between a storage tank or bowser and the pump or engine, catching dirt, rust and water before they reach injectors and fuel pumps.

FRAM or GUD?
FRAM and GUD both sell this housing in South Africa. The FRAM FSA1000 and the GUD CF1000 are the same 1 inch BSP unit under two labels, and both take the same G1000 cartridge, so choose by price and by which brand your workshop or farm already runs. The alternative is the GUD CF1000.
How to service the FRAM FSA1000 fuel filter housing
Drain water from the bowl whenever you see it collect, and change the G1000 cartridge at least once a season or sooner on dirty fuel. Unscrew the bowl, swap the cartridge, check the seal and refit by hand. If the bowl is cracked or clouded, fit a CF1000P bowl rather than a new housing.
