Exterior care is mostly about protecting paint, glass and trim from South African sun. UV is what fades a bonnet and turns black plastic trim grey, and a wax or sealant layer is the cheapest defence against it.

Greyhound Auto Retail stocks shampoos, waxes and polishes, tyre and trim dressings, glass cleaners, bug and tar removers and wheel cleaners. Work in the shade where you can, rinse before you wash so grit is off the paint, and reapply wax every few months rather than once a year.
