Continental 6PK1019 Elast fan belt: 6-rib multi-rib belt, 1019 mm (premium)
The Continental 6PK1019 Elast is a 6-rib multi-rib drive belt (also called a fan belt, V-ribbed or serpentine belt), 1019 mm long. It drives the engine auxiliaries. For example, it turns the alternator, the power steering pump and the air conditioning compressor, depending on the engine. Listed fitment includes the Ford Fiesta, Fusion, Focus & Figo.
The German Continental group makes ContiTech belts. Also, many European and Asian manufacturers fit them as original equipment.
Elast (stretch-fit) belt: this belt runs without a tensioner, so you need a special installation tool to fit it. Use the correct tool and never lever it over the pulley, because that damages the belt.
How to check your belt size
First, look at the back of your old belt: you will find the size printed there. For example, in 6PK1019, 6 is the number of ribs, PK is the rib profile and 1019 is the length in millimetres. However, sizes a few millimetres apart (such as 6PK1019 and 6PK1024) are different belts. So match the number exactly, or ask us.

Fitting tips
Replace the belt at the interval in your service book. Also replace it sooner if it is cracked, glazed, missing ribs or squeals on start-up. At the same time, check the tensioner and idler pulleys, because a worn tensioner bearing wears out a new belt quickly. Before you remove the old belt, photograph the routing. Finally, make sure every rib sits in its pulley groove before you start the engine.
