Fitting and bedding in

Check the discs for lip wear and scoring before fitting new pads; a worn disc eats a new pad in weeks. Clean the caliper slides, grease the pad ears with brake grease, and torque the caliper bolts to spec. Bed the pads in with ten gentle stops from 60 km/h, no hard braking for the first 200 km, and expect a little more pedal travel until they seat.
