The point of the platform is simple: one battery type runs every Power X-Change tool, so a battery bought with a drill later powers a lawn mower, blower or vacuum. We stock 2.5Ah and 4.0Ah starter kits, which include a charger, and 4.0Ah twinpacks.

Amp hours set runtime, not power, so a 4.0Ah pack lasts roughly two thirds longer than a 2.5Ah pack on the same tool. Two packs are also what 36V tools need, and having a second battery on charge means you never stop mid-job. Buy a starter kit first if you have no charger yet, then add bare Solo tools.
